Abstract: A huge amount of image and video are uploaded on social networking site. Content-based Information retrieval of multimedia data like image and video in distributed environment is a key challenge and raising several research activities. Content Based Information Retrieval System for Distributed Multimedia Data on image and video provide a new search approach as per user requirements from a distributed multimedia database. This thesis proposes a new efficient approach to satisfy the users requirements in distributed environments.
